Participation Declaration

Since 1 October 2017, the signing of the Participartion Declaration is compulsory part of the integration for all migrants. This means it is not only a requirement for asylum migrants that come to the Netherlands on a refugee status, but also for migrants that come to the Netherlands for various other reasons. Since 2014 Implacement Projects has been carrying out the Participation Declaration procedure on behalf of the municipality of Amsterdam. Everyone resident of Amsterdam that has to sign the Participation Declaration, will be automatically registered by the municipality of Amsterdam for the program with Implacement Projects. The program consists of two half-day trainings. The first day, the Dutch core values, the historical context of our constitution and various articles from the constitution are discussed. On the second day the Dutch political system and concept of the 'participation society' will be explained and discussed. On this final day the training ends with signing the Participation Declaration, which is a document with an unique allocated document number for each participant.
